The error message that comes right after i have entered root/username and password is something like :
"could not open up the internet adress for dhcppc3, try putting the file to /etc/hosts"

I suspect that something is configured to use a computer called dhcppc3, but it can't work out which computer this is. Do you have a machine called dhcppc3 on your network?

The most likely cause of this is that you don't have DHCP set up properly on the network. I suggest that you should look at utilities like pump in order to try and work out your network settings better.

(Adding things to /etc/hosts is a solution only if you have static IP addresses for everything on the network; with DHCP you usually don't, so the suggested solution isn't going to be much use here).

Okay well since im a total newb, im like excited cuse i was able to unzip and install some programs...so there ya go im noob

How do i find this program/tool that can provide those features.
iv looked for a program named pump like you suggested(or didnt i just missunderstood)
but no luck :/

and maybe i miss things cuse of my english, but i hope i can fix this problem/error prompt
