duel boot - linux first.

If I have an already installed linux laptop with an empty partition, how difficult is it to do a duel boot install without having to reinstall the linux portion?

hi there,

aswering the question:
if you have already an empty partition should be no problem at all.
you just install everyhing and skip the installation of the boot loader ( of course if it is installed now. )
i don't think it is a big deal.

regards

How would I skip the boot loader installation for Windows? I never knew I could skip that. Plus, for the empty partition, won't windows not even be able to detect the ext3 partition I have and thus overwrite it? Or is there a nice program I can use to format an NTFS partition w/o destroying my linux partition?

sorry mate..
my misunderstand..
with windows would be a problem..
you can use fdisk to format the partition to something that windows will "see".. type 7 : NTFS
i am not sure how to do the trick with the boot loader.

sorry again
