dual partion install VIA raid help

I have XP installed already on a VIA VT6410 IDE raid 0. I have partitioned a SATA disk for the Fedora install, when I run the fedora install it recognizes the SATA drive as drive 0, but not the existing windows Install on the VIA IDE raid (and VIA drivers don't work for Linux ). If I install fedora how do I tell it how to boot windows if it can not see the disk. Or can I use windows boot.ini, and if so can someone tell me how?

Thanks.

Don't do that. You are about to blow away your entire disk. Software RAID 0 doesn't work as a boot partition in linux. Your windows files have nothing to do with it. Linux will overwrite your MBR with GRUB- or attempt to- in this instance, and error out.

SO. Is there no way to do it? If I undo the raid is that a better way to go? I have already ghosted the partition before I started the Linux install.

You buy a hardware SATA RAID card with linux native support like this:

http://www.monarchcomputer.com/Merch...ct_Code=150876

Then you can RAID 0 with any OS you want.
