I've already got a dual boot set up with Windows XP (Home Edition), and SuSE 9.2 (Professional). Is Fedora Core 3 smart enough to detect the SuSE partition, delete SuSE, and install itself on it? Or will it get rid of the SuSE partition and create a new one?
I am not sure what you want to do here? I assume you want the SuSE installation gone and have it replaced with Fedora Core 3.
If that is the case, start the FC3 installation, and during the partition setup I believe you can select something of an automatic setup. From there I believe you can also then tell it to reformat all linux partitions and it SHOULD leave the Windows stuff alone.
Alternatively, you can manually setup the partition and if you are happy with the size allocations of the existing SuSE partitions you can just have them formatted and FC3 will use them for itself.
Yes, what adriaanbw is saying is correct, what you will need to do, is to manually partition with disk druid, and select the partitions that SuSe is installed on, then what you want to do is edit the partitions, and select the format box, it should if my memory serves be a small box that you will check. Hope that helps..
