Dual boot Windows 8 and Fedora 17 - Windows wont shut down
I have Windows 8 Enterprise Evaluation and Fedora 17, both OS are 64 bit, on dual boot - windows installed first.
Windows and Fedora work OK, with one problem - i can not shut down computer from Windows.
When i hit shut down, computer begin shut down, but there is no shut down, only return me on windows login screen.
Restart is OK, shutdown from Fedora also OK.
During installation there is no errors.
This problem only appears on dual boot Win8 - Fedora 17, on dual boot with other distros windows shutdown normaly, also dual boot Fedora - Win7.
Bootloader is installed on dev/sda(where is windows installed)
Win8 + Fedora == Fedora=ok
Win8 + Fedora == Win8 !ok?
Ergo, win8 has booting problem when deprived of exclusive booting right. Typical redmond weakness. Please take note that win8 has boot restrictions in most machines --I don't like to expound further: I hate Microsoft, (ungrateful, after people gave them billions in proft not contented with that now they're giving more problems to their clients who wanted to save few dollars remaining in hand.)
DON'T BUY WINDOWS 8 (am I joking here? :) )
i installed xp win7 win8 fedora17 ,fedora is the last one installed.
everything goes well except that my cpu is 32 bits
