Hey all. So I got an Epson AcuLaser m1200, and I need to use it with a Fedora 15 box. Turns out there's no support for it directly from Epson, but instead, Avasys make linux drivers for Epson's M series laser printers. The m1200, however, is not among the supported printers. I've scavenged through some forums and it seems that there's a workaround in Debian/Ubuntu, to get the printer going with drivers for the EPL6200, which is very similiar save for the onboard memory. Any ideas if I can apply this to Fedora ?...or Any ideas at all ? ...For the moment I'm printing using a virtual machine, which is ...irritating, to say the least ...

Please check if you are having proper ppd file for your printer type and you have configured this for cups.

no, no ppd specifically made for the m1200 exists, as far as I'm aware ...and using the epl6200 ppd doesn't work at all
