do understand dates cporrectly?
When I look in /boot i find
-rw------- 1 root root 17202433 Nov 14 20:34 initramfs-3.6.6-1.fc16.i686.img
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 129630 Nov 5 09:20 config-3.6.6-1.fc16.i686
-rw------- 1 root root 1941497 Nov 5 09:20 System.map-3.6.6-1.fc16.i686
-rwxr-xr-x 1 root root 4771312 Nov 5 09:20 vmlinuz-3.6.6-1.fc16.i686\
Do i undrstand them correctly
I believe the dates of 11/5 are dates that the modules were created at some support location
I believe that the date of 11/14 is when dracut was run on my machine to pull together the material used in the ram based startup system.
Do I have that right?
and apparenty I dont recall the
and end code statements :)
That is probably correct about the dates. It is possible to create a file and set the datestamp associated with the file. tar does that when unrolling a tarball.
See my sig for info on using

and other BB tags.
