difference between live cd and dvd install

Hi,

I do not have a dvd burner and am contenplating using the live cd to install fc8. My question is wouldnt thel ive cd only have a minimal set of packages? How then would i get the equivalent of a dvd install from the live cd install? I also want to install the source in case I want to tinker with it later. Would beginning from a live cd allow me to do all that? Would appreciate if someone could point out the steps i need to take after a live cd install to get what i want equivalent to a dvd install.

Thanks

The LiveCD enables Network Manager by default, and has less packages available from the media. Everything from the DVD and more can be installed from the internet using yum. There is no real negative installing from the LiveCD unless you have a really slow internet connection in my opinion.
