Unhappy Devcice names for DVD andCD devices on Fedora 8/9

Hi
I'm sure this is an oft asked question but have never seen an easy to understand reply. I seem to be having an inordinate amount of difficulty correctly identifying DVD and CD to the system, to /etc/fstab
Simply put, on secondary IDE channel, I have two optical drives. I believe DVD is master and CD is slave.(two hard disks on first IDE channel)
I know there are two entries in /dev, for decices called SR0 and SR1. I belive these are for optical drives but am simply, not sure.
One kde utility (kbr3???) showed devices /dev/cdrom, /dev/cdrom1 which condused the hell oout of me.
My question is simply, how to define the optical drives to Fedora's fstab.
Is fstab as simple as /dev/sr0 /mnt/dvd...other params
/dev/sr1 /mnt/cdrom etc.......
?
Or different.
I'd really be grateful for assistance with this. I feel others have problems with this question also.
Thanks
George

lshw (list hardware) does a good job of finding out all kinds of things about your drives, cards, etc. You may need to install it - yum install lshw
