Customize terminal in gnome
Hi
I would like to customize the terminal so that 1. I can paste text that I have copied from elsewhere, inside terminal with ctrl V rather than right click & paste (old habits die hard..) 2. Open terminal from file browser so that it opens in the directory being browsed, rather than me trying to cd into it.(I know, I know Konqueror has this feature, but can I do it in nautilus?) Thanks |
I thought nautilus had this feature; though it was somehow hidden (huh?) last time I looked for it, I think, and so I had to search a bit from the web to find out how I could put it back on.
Might be my daydreams too, but I think I've seen that feature in Nautilus too. If nothing else, you can add it yourself to the mouse menu.. |
Thanks @b0uncer
The terminal in nautilus is sorted out by installing nautilus-open-terminal as regards ctrl V, I think I will have to get used to shift+Ins or right click+p as I couldn't find how to customize mouse menu |
To get "ctrl V" working in terminal
right click -> and select "Show Menubar" Then from menubar in terminal -> Edit -> Keyboard Shortcuts... and scroll down to Edit - Paste and change the entry to "ctrl V" |
