Converting a FC4 dvd to FC4 cd set?

Solution at http://forums.fedoraforum.org/showthread.php?t=59641 or if you just want the jigdo files, you can just jump directly to http://download.wpi.edu/pub/jigdo/

Hello,

I am downloading FC4 dvd. A friend needs FC4 cd set. Can I convert FC4 dvd to FC4 cd set, or does FC4 cd set have to be downloaded separately?

Debian has Jigdo which allows creating dvds from CD set or CD set from dvds? is there something similar available for Fedora Core? If not, what are my options other them downloading cd too.

Thanks
Prem

NFS

After you get linux installed on your computer if you can put his on the same network you can do an NFS install. Just mount the iso (mount -o loop [iso path] [mount path]) and copy the files to another folder that is shared using NFS. There is a setup utility in fedora under System Settings>Server Settings>NFS.
Once you have the NFS server set up all you have to do is boot the computer using a boot disk acquired here: http://download.fedora.redhat.com/pu...386/os/images/
Point the computer to the Ip and shared folder on your server and let it go.
It should transfer faster than CD and you can just walk away instead of swapping them out :-p
Its definitely my preffered method of install.
Good luck if you choose this method
