Component video with intel945GM out of ideas

I have a strange situation with trying to have component video on Fedora 7 (i945GM chipset). It does not work well, the output is of low quality and there is a big black margin around the output.
The system is updated, agpgart is working, I tried both intel dirver and i810 dirver, I tried numerous modifications of xorg.conf nothing helps: VGA output is great, component has a black border.
Basically I am looking for the clues on where the problem might lie. It seems, it is not in the xorg.conf because whatever changes I would introduce they do not affect video output even a slightest bit. It is always bad quality + black margin starting from the boot time.

Thnx for suggestions
