Command to get the CPU Speed (in Mhz/Ghz)

Well yes... thats all - just a command to get the (max.) CPU Speed, if possible with the name of the CPU as well.
Is there a program out there (maybe already in Fedora 3 implemented) that can do this?

Thanks,
MHOOO

/proc is a directory that holds current kernel infromation, and you can change kernel information in some of the /proc files too.

cat /proc/cpuinfo
