Unhappy Command 'services' missing?

I recently tried doing a simple
Code:
services network restart
and it said that the command 'services' was missing. Sure, I can do all that through the Gnome screens, but I'm a born-again command line user and would like to know what happened to the 'services' command in Fedora Core 4. Has it changed names or which package should I install to have this service? I have a server running Fedora Core 1 and it does have the 'services' command... or am I dreaming - did it ever exist?

I had tried that also. Just did a locate service and imagine what I found... (other than that I needed to run updatedb) service is under /sbin, but not listed in the general path.

I'll get back to the .
Super

Are you running as root?

I have to

$su
#su -
#service smb restart

This is on FC4, so this should work.
