Cloning hd with FC6

In a machine there is running Fedora 6 like samba server. Its on 40gb Western Digital IDE. But the machine haves SATA and I want to transport the IDE partition into new SATA 80GB disk.
I can build a new clean install but the server is too bussy. Only have a few hours to do.
The Acronis cloning cd (Segate Disk Wizard) works fine on NTFS (Win2000, XP, Vista). Can work with ext3 partitions?
What do you think?

Not sure about that...

But, in Linux PartedMagic is a essential tool for cloning hd's, retrieving data via testdisk, etc

it also has latest firefox, flash10, and alsa sound

the newest version is 4.4, found here
