Choppy video

If I try to play a game like Chromium, it is
extremely slow and choppy, like the video
card is totally maxed out. I have a crappy
ProSavage DDR video card that uses 32mb
of shared memory, 640 MB ddr ram and an
Athlon XP-M 1800 with a 1024x768 TFT
screen. Any advice would be appreciated
