Changing distributions

Sorry if this is a stupid question, but I've been poking around and can't find the answer.

I've got a CentOS machine that I want to switch to Fedora 9 - and I REALLY don't want to blow it away and start from scratch. I just want to upgrade it and update the apps. Is there a way that I can "upgrade" the existing CentOS installation to Fedora?

No.
If you want to save then resize and install Fedora on a logical partition.
Do not add anything to the MBR.
Reboot and manually add the information to grub.

You might want to rethink choosing F9. It will only have support for about three more months, one month after F11 is released. After that there will be no official updates of any kind.
