Changing default graphical system?
I want to change the default login to KDE, but I can't find the preference anywhere. Help a newb out!

Boot into KDE, and then go into your main menu, preferences, desktop switching tool. Then pick KDE and click ok. You should now have KDE as your default Desktop Environment. If that option isn't in you menu, open a terminal window, su to root, type in
yum search desktop One of the replies it gives u should say desktop switching tool, then yum install it and then do the above steps. |

Something strange happened to my desktop switching tool. I selected GNOME, but when I boot, KDE starts. I know I can select it when I log in, but I think it is quite annoying...

open, as root, the file "/etc/sysconfig/desktop" and change the DESKTOP value form "KDE" to "GNOME" I hope i was of some help ---------------------- Kostason |
