Change in VNC behavior
I have been using VNC successfully for several months now, running the client on my Windows XP system and opening a session into my Fedora machine in the other room. In fact, can't remember the last time I actually turned on the Fedora system CRT.
A few days ago, VNC started exhibiting an annoying behavior of NOT updating the screen until the Mouse gets moved. I can type up a storm, but none of the text will display till the mouse movement causes an update of the screen.
The last thing I recall doing was to apply some maintenance to Fedora, which I usually check and apply each week to keep it up to date. But I don't think any of that was for VNC itself.
It is possible that it is a reflection of some change on the WXP side, but again, I don't recall doing anything there.
Any suggestions on what to look for/change on either system to figure this out? I am not too overly fluent with Linux yet (that is why I am doing all this).
Thanks,
Martyn
