Exclamation CD/DVD burning blues!

I recently installed Fedora 7(GNOME) and I am not able to erase or burn CD or DVD using Brasero or GnomeBaker. When I tried to use Brasero, I got hold of the following logs.

Quote:
TOC Type: 1 = CD-ROM
wodim: Operation not permitted. Warning: Cannot raise RLIMIT_MEMLOCK limits.scsidev: '4,0,0'
scsibus: 4 target: 0 lun: 0
scsidev: 'ATA:4,0,0'
devname: 'ATA'
scsibus: 4 target: 0 lun: 0
wodim: No such file or directory.
Cannot open SCSI driver!
For possible targets try 'wodim --devices' or 'wodim -scanbus'.
For possible transport specifiers try 'wodim dev=help'.
For IDE/ATAPI devices configuration, see the file README.ATAPI.setup from
the wodim documentation.
I googled for 'wodim' and found that Fedora 7 uses 'wodim' instead of 'cdrecord'. Then I did 'wodim --devices' at the terminal and I got:
Quote:
[sagii@localhost ~]$ wodim --devices
Beginning native device scan. This may take a while if devices are busy...
wodim: Overview of accessible drives (0 found) :
----------------------------------------------------------------------
----------------------------------------------------------------------
[sagii@localhost ~]$
I am in a urgent need of burning a CD what is the work around!

Please check the /var/log/messages file for the device as root type something like;

cat /var/log/messages | grep ATA

Is the device listed??? If yes then type; ls -al /dev/cdrom

Try using k3b instead, most like it better then Brasero or GnomeBaker.

You might want to do (as root) something like; chmod 4755 /usr/bin/wodim

as a KDE fan I naturally have to agree that K3B is good (and works for me w/o problems). Just in case you install it: ignore the message that it should be run with root permission. That seems to be a special case for Microvell Linux (as it's mentioned).
