cd drive


my cd drive had disapeared after updating fc3 and i dont know how to get it back as i dont know which update removed it as there were about 200+ updates it only happened after rebooting

and

kudzu -p

yes i had updated my kernal however i have just reinstalled as all i had done was just update it

sorry about that but i reinstalled before i read ur post and i dont know what a o/p is would of deleted thread but didn't know how

what i wanted to know is that if the driver/support was missing from ur kernel tht u had changed
which could have been the root of the problem
also whenever u installl a new kernel. never delete the old one untill u r sure that the newer is finer
i keep a backup of 3-4 kernels with me
