CCSM in Fedora 8 not working

I installed everything of Compiz Fusion including libcompizconifg and so on. Although Emerald theme manager seems to work, CCSM is not working. Is this because of compiz-gnome-manager package? Can you please help me? Thanks.

Open a terminal and run ccsm from there. Note the output regarding error messages.

I had this problem to. It took me forever to figure it out, but you have to add compiz-manager to your startup options. You can do this by going to SYSTEM-->Preferences-->Personal-->Sessions. Click on add, name it whatever and the command should be compiz-manager. After a reboot CCSM settings take place.

On another related note. I had a hard time getting emerald themes to work. Created a shortcut that auto ran "emerald --replace". Now my themes work.

This worked great for me. It took care of everything even the emerald themes. I love my linux box with fedora 8. It's awesome.
