cant unmount /dev/cdrom

I am having this problem were I cannot unmount cds in my drive which is a liteon 411s and I am running fedora with 2.6.3 kernel. It will mount fine but when I go to unmount it in either gnome or in a shell via umount /dev/cdrom it says the device is busy and the only way to get it to unmount is to restart my system by hitting the reset button on my case. If I try to log out of gnome it locks up.

Hope someone can help Is this a known problem with fedora ?

i've had the same problem and have yet to find a solution. The only thing I can think of is looking for the process and killing it, but this hasn't happened to me in a while so I don't if that's even an option.

Seems to be a known bug:
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/bugzilla....cgi?id=106936

workaround (as root):
#> service xinetd restart
