The Printer can be ping 192.168.1.104 and I can get into printer setup.

The printer is setup as ;

lpd://192.168.1.104/PASSTHRU

This is how it was setup on Fedora 15 and 17 when I had it working, I also have it Printing on a Fedora 18 Mini Laptop.

So I know the Driver will work in Fedora 18.

Try setting your printer as follows...

Device URI: socket://192.168.1.104

I don't know what to look for in your logs, but the real clue is probably there.

Cheers,
Terry

Changing to socket://192.168.1.104 did not make any difference, still won't print.

Sorry, I thought it might be worth a try.

I found this <http://forums.fedoraforum.org/showthread.php?t=256291> which may be of some relevance, not sure.
See the post by "Colors".

I'm familiar with that, after installing the Samsung drivers one has to relabel the driver files.

But I put Selinux in the permissive mode and that should not prevent from printing in cups.

There has got to be another problem, some where in the libs, but it does not show up in the debug or /var/log/messages.

Okay I have compiled foo2zjs in Fedora 18 and got my Samsung printer CLX-3175FN to print in Black and White and I have ghostscript installed, now how do I get it to print in COLOR ?

Have you looked at the "printer properties"?
On my system (Fedora 18, Cinnamon), they are at Administration > printer properties, then select your printer, and look for colour settings in the options. For my printer they are in 'Job options'.

Terry
