cant log into msn passport account!
im trying to use the msn chat account useing fedora core 4. when i create account and enter the particulars of my net passport, i keep getting a message telling me that my msn passport passwrd is wrong! I know that its right because i can use it to log onto my msn mail account and when i log onto msn chat in win xp! ny help?
weird...which program are you using to connect to msn? their is gaim and amsn. gaim is part of the default fedora installation. if you are having problems with gaim, try using amsn instead (it looks almost exactly like MSN Messenger for Windows, and only does MSN, while gaim does MSN, AOL, Jabber, etc.)
Are you certain that your keyboard is set correctly? Since your profile says you're in the US, and that's the default, that probably isn't the source of the problem. It might be worth checking though, usually when my password isn't accepted it's because the keyboard mapping has been changed.

First it was getting updates, then the Instant message issue, now its installing LimeWire Pro!!! I download the rpm from limwire open it, fedora checks the dependencie stuff, then,..It Figures By Now...I get a message that limewire needs "jre2" to continue to install!! Damn it! Is "jre2" "Java runtime environment"? Boy, I geuss im gonna HAVE to learn how to use terminals if im gonna get anywhere with fc4!
j2re is the Java runtime environment. I don't how easy you'll find it to set up though. Try 'yum update j2re' at the command prompt (as root). If that doesn't work, which I suspect it won't, I think Stanton Finley has a setup guide on his FC4 install page.
