cant access internet in fedora


hi m totally new to fedora......
i just installed fedora
wanted to access the internet so just did the proxy settings in the browser like i used to do for windows.......
however the net is not working...
smeone told me that there is some config file where we need to enter the proxy server's id addess n port.......
can anyone tell me whats the command to edit in the config file n what should i do..........??????

You can edit the file by using nano /path/to/filename in the terminal or you should also be able to edit it (if you have the correct permissions) directly from the ui.
