Cannot read Zip Disk

Hey guys....I have FC2, My Zip100 drive is connected via IDE.
It shows up under 'Computer' as 'Zip Drive' When I insert a disk and double click, I get a message saying "Unable to mount the volume. There is probably no media in the device" Below it reads "mount: /dev/hdd4 is not a valid block device". This is a dual boot system, the Zip works in Windows 2003 Server just fine. Ideas?

hdd4 is not necessarily the right block device. That refers to the fourth partition in the slave of the secondary ide bus.

So what can I do to fix it?

1. Figure out where that zip-drive is.
2. Use it from there.

1. For example figuring where it physically is or examining the contents of /proc/ide

2. mount /dev/hdXN /mnt/foo
where X is correct location in the bus, N the number of the partition (probably 1) and /mnt/foo is the directory where you want to mount the disk.
