Can NVidia drivers work on Fedora/ 2.6 Kernel?
Hi,
I am using NVidia "GeForce2 Go" on my (Dell Inspiron 8200) laptop. It was working well with my old installation of Redhat 9. Currently I a facing an intermitant lock out of the system. The problems started coming after I upgraded to Fedora Core 3.
After installing Fedora Core 3, the system will go to lock up state some times, when X is running - All the key board/mouse activities will be stopped and the only recover way is the hard reset. When this happens, the NVidia driver used to leave few lines at /var/log/messages

While goggling for a solution, I found a thread at linuxquestions.org
(linuxquestions.org/questions/showthread.php?s=&threadid=297427)
which some ways to solve the problem. To solve the issue, I tried these options, suggested at the forums.
- Added NvAgp option.
- Upgraded Kernel to 2.6-11
I tried with the various versions of NVidia drivrs available from nvidia.com. Currently I am using the version which was relesed 2 months back. But any of these thing never gave any advantage at all.
Does any body know how to solve this problem? Does it have any solution for solving this issue?
Any help from your side will be very much useful.
Thanks,
Alex
