Can't install fedora games live dvd to permanent usb hdd.

I downloaded fedora 16 games and decided to install it to a vm.I didn't know vm does not do 3d and will not let you install the gfx card driver. Spent half a day learning it would not work. I like the new gnome3 so I created a live dvd but don't have any hdds left to install on and tried to install it to a 16G usb instead. This is also not working, every time it gets to formating extra space on the drive after partitioning it hits a bug and stops. I can continue to the hdd install but it does nothing. I have a bug reporting account but dont use it because with some past linux install I had a bug almost everyday and that sometimes worked and some times not so I don't use it anymore. I could do a copy and paste from the live install if I try again.
