Can't Switch Graphical GUIs

I've just installed FC4 and I remember very clearly installing the X GUI and KDE, but when using the <ctrl><alt><F8> or <ctrl><alt><F9> all there is, is a black screen with a blinking cursor. All the ttys are fine. The only GUI that works is GNOME. So how do I make this switch work?

SenakSquared, X is not a gui, it is software that networks desktops. I believe that you can load the gnome desktop at <ctrl><alt><F7> and that you wish to have kde (kool desktop environment). Unfortunately, you can only have one at a time and each will be at <ctrl><alt><F7>. To change eithor temporarily or permanently, log out of gnome, hat->log out->logout and from the display manager's screen ie, the login screen choose sessions and kde . To change to kde permanently, type at any command lineswitchdesk-kde . And to revert to gnomeswitchdesk-gnome. Hope this helps.
