Can't mount floppy in Fedora 8

I did a fresh install of Fedora 8 from the Fedora-8-Live-KDE-i686.iso Live CD. No other OS on the computer.

When I try to mount the floppy drive from the desktop icon, I can hear the floppy drive clicking but then I get this error message:
Can't find /dev/fd0 in /etc/fstab or /etc/mtab

Are you trying to mount it as user? It needs to be in the fstab for you to have the permission to mount it.
