Burning a webm video to k3b or brasero

Fedora 17

Can't get k3b or Brasero to burn a Webm video to DVD, how do you do it ?

Please explain exactly what you want to do. Do you want a DVD that plays in any standalone DVD-player? Do you want a DVD that plays on other PCs?

On a standalone DVD-player.

I have the webm file on the computer already and it plays ok with VLC

Will K3B and or Brasero even burn a xxx.webm video ?

If your standalone player supports the webm format you can simply burn it as a data DVD with the video on it. If there is no support for that format you first have to convert the video to a supported format. Consult the manual of the player which video formats are supported.

If you want that the video plays on any DVD player you have to convert the video to the DVD format, but I am not sure if K3B or Brasero can do that, you may have to use a different program to convert the video (like ffmpeg or something similar).

I have been trying to use ffmpeg , but I haven't figured out what ffmpeg command to give it, nothing seems to work.
