Brightness control Keys not working

OS: F11 on KDE. I installed F11 from DVD.

The LCD brightness control keys are not working in KDE though volume control keys are working fine.

When I tested F11 live CD I can see a brightness control widget. That widget is also not available when I installed from DVD.
