Bootup processes

I am still trying to figure out how to get into the startup processes to stop O.S. at boot to look for DHCP on wifi0. My wifi using madwifi on ath0 and not wifi0 and this slows up my startup time DRAMATICLY. Any help for this noobie appriciated.

I'm a newbie to Linux, but you Might find what you're looking for in one of these two places,

System > Administration > Services

or

System > Preferences > More Preferences > Sessions > Startup Programs

I don't know what distro you use, but normally at network setting you can set the interface whether start on 'boot', 'manually' or 'hotplug'. Simply choose manually.
