Boot problems after "yum update"

Hello all!

I'm runnning FC4 on a brand-new Dell PowerEdge. I did a "yum update" as well as installing webmin, firestarter, snort and tripwire via RPMs. The server boots up sometimes and sometimes not. When it does boot, when it gets into Xorg, the graphics are all screwy. Also, cpuspeed gives a fatal error during the service start process.

What should I do?

It is possible a recent yum update of udev is causing problems. Try booting to the screwy X place and then press Ctrl-Alt-Backspace and let us know if you can then log in.
