boot problem: could not find kernel image: linux
Hi,
I'm a new linux user and i'm tryng to install fedora 8 from dvd, but booting from dvd nothing works and i find this message : could not find kernel image. linux boot: what i've to do?? please help me thanks |
Are you sure this is the right version for your architecture?
Some distros come with only 32 bit support, or you have to download a different version of the distro. update: I looked at fedora's home. they do have different versions. If you don't think that's your problem, try another live cd/dvd. |
Mmmm - after many years avoiding Redhat derived distros (since a total fsck-up on RH9), I too decided to try Fedora 8 last weekend.
What a bloody fiasco - totally unusable. @cimegak, is that the only message you get ???. Just try hitting <enter>; any difference ???. |
I think that the i386 is the right on for my cleron m 1.3ghz
