boot floppy update

I've just updated my kernel and my boot floppy still boots the old kernel, is there any easy way to update my boot floppy. (I've tried to create a new one and end up with the same thing I have now.) I share this machine with a windows user who refuses to deal with anything but a normal windows boot, hence no grub to use for booting into new kernel and recreating new boot floppy

Hi,

I wonder if you can install grub on the floppy. From there it can search for your /boot/grub.menu.lst and find the lines for the new kernel. I've done that sometime.
Are you using grub or lilo?

Can't help further I'm afraid : (
