Exclamation big newbie question


u can tell from this question that im a complete newbie to this...anyway

what is the difference between the genome enviroment and KDE??

R they just different skins of the same thing or is there more to it????

They are different desktop environments. Each with advantages, and pitfalls of it's own. Rather than post opinions and start a flame war, I will give you a link to compare the two:

Honestly, I would suggest just switching back and forth until you find which one you like the best.
