Beep when I press keyborad keys.. !


hey there. Ive come across a rather odd error, whenever I press buttons on the keyboard, the computer 'bois beeps' at me. the keyboard works fine in root, just not my user account, though.

how do I load the system moniter from command line ? I think it *may* be gtkradiant crashing...

I can't tell you about the beeps! There might be a way to shut ALL beeping off though, if you look at the latest newsletter from Fedoranews.org (#4)...as it addresses some beep stuff.

To get the system monitor from the command line enter "gnome-system-monitor" and it will call itself up in the GUI...I have no idea what it will do with X system off.
