arts sound problem
 

Hello,

All sounds are working fine on two of the three accounts I have on my computer.

On one of the three accounts xmms works well but all other sounds are mute. However, when I go in KDE's Control Center to enable alsa and click on the "test sound" button, it works. The arts audio manager displays an empty window.

On the other two accounts it displays the line :

KDE System notifications play out_soundcard.

I just can't find what's wrong....

Change your sound to threaded. It usually helps. Also, make sure sound system is enabled in root.

One of the two accounts where all sounds are ok is root.

Where is the "threaded" setting for sounds ?
