Any good how-to sites for Fedora?
Apologies if this has been posted before - search didn't reveal anything.
I'm looking for a good how-to website for Fedora. I've seen the one at linux.org but that's pretty basic. I'm looking for a good tutorial on things like peripheral setup, CD-burning, photo printing, etc. Basically the things I do on Windows beyond email, browsing, and office apps (which I already know how to do in Linux) so I can get to a point of switching to Linux completely. |

Fedora is still enough like Red Hat that you can use Red Hat documentation. I am in the process of leisurely switching from SuSE to Fedora and I checked out a library book called "Red Hat Linux All-In-One Desk Reference for Dummies" by Naba Barkakati from the public library. This book has the answers to your questions. ___________________________________ Be prepared. Create a LifeBoat CD. http://users.rcn.com/srstites/LifeBo...home.page.html Steve Stites |
Cool - thanks. I'll check it out.
If I want to check help online, should I do it through Red Hat's website or is there another Red Hat help site that is better? |

Fedora's web site is at fedora.redhat.com . They are still building their documentation site. In the meantime they refer you to the Red Hat documentation. ___________________________________ Be prepared. Create a LifeBoat CD. http://users.rcn.com/srstites/LifeBo...home.page.html Steve Stites |
Hi Folks !
jailbait is totally right. However, each of us will agree that too much can't hurt. Therefore, I suggest to NickC to give a try as well to this forum onwhich a lot has been said about FC1 : http://voidmain.is-a-geek.net/forums/viewforum.php?f=1 Enjoy ! |
