anaconda build from src rpm fails

Using Fedora Core 3, I have tried to rebuild the unmodified FC3 anaconda source rpm (anaconda-10.1.0.2.src.rpm) so that I can make a custom installer. I have installed the dependencies, but the package still refuses to build. Here is the last few lines of the build:

Code:
diet gcc -g -static -o loader loader.o log.o moduleinfo.o loadermisc.o modules.o moduledeps.o windows.o lang.o kbd.o modstubs.o driverdisk.o selinux.o md5.o mediacheck.o kickstart.o driverselect.o getparts.o dirbrowser.o pcmcia.o usb.o firewire.o hardware.o method.o cdinstall.o hdinstall.o nfsinstall.o urlinstall.o dietstubs.o ctype.o net.o urls.o ftp.o telnet.o telnetd.o -lpopt \
-lkudzu_loader -lpci_loader ../isys/libisys-diet.a -lrpc ../isys/gzlib/libgunzip-diet.a \
-lpump -lresolv -lnewt -lslang -lbtermdiet -lbogldiet -lwlitediet
/usr/bin/ld: cannot find -lbtermdiet
collect2: ld returned 1 exit status
make[1]: *** [loader] Error 1
make[1]: Leaving directory `/usr/local/rebuild/3/rpm/SOURCES/anaconda-10.1.0.2/loader2'
make: *** [subdirs] Error 1
I am building as me, not root, and I have read and write access to /usr/local/rebuild.

What should I do to get it to build a binary rpm?

Thanks in advance.

And do these errors come up when you are logged in as root ?

Yes, the errors are exactly the same for root.

I have also tried using another src rpm, the RHEL 4 one, and that fails in much the same way.

Thanks again

I fixed it - I did a new FC3 install on another box, hunted down the dependencies for anaconda, and then it built successfully.
