adsl usb configuration for quidway wa1003A

very recently I have installed broadband connection with ADSL quidway wa1003A modem. When I am connecting through xp it is working smoothly with the USB port but on the same machine when I am trying through my fedora-2, I am unable to connect to internet although the modem has been detected first time and auto configured. is there something I am missing here ?
