Good evening all. I just installed fedora 2 yesterday and created an account on the box. For some reason my account doesn't have admin priveledges and I don't know what to do. I didn't create any other accounts on the box. Is there a default admin account I can use to give my account administrative privledges? I can't change any settings without admin rights. Thanks all!

there should be a root account set up on your box.

Do you remember entering a root password?

log on as root and use that password.

there is a possibility that you didn't enter a password - in that case just enter root as your user and enter for password.

If it doesn't work - the easiest and fastest solution is to reinstall - rememembering to look out for anything to do with root and if you have the chance to create a superuser as a backup account.
