Adding device to the User Mount Tool?


I want to add my USB thumb drive (/dev/sda1) to the User Mount Tool so I don't have open a termal and then su just to use it. How? And how can I tell what proccesses are using it (umount keeps saying it's busy when I'm not using it)?

You can add the thumb drive to your fstab and it should start when Linux starts.

As for the unmount problem, go into fstab and make these changes....

OLD: /dev/cdrom /mnt/cdrom udf,iso9660 noauto,owner,kudzu,ro 0 0

New: /dev/cdrom /mnt/cdrom iso9660 noauto,user,ro 0 0


That should help with the locked or "busy' cdrom. It will still show busy if a window to the drive is open.

Thanks for the help but it's my thumb drive that's busy not my CD-ROM so I don't think that will help it.
