this topic has been covered in the last week, try a search.
The default of the add/remove program, is to look on line for packages. If you're not online, you either have to edit yum to look at your CD drive or if you have plenty of HD space copy the CD's to hard drive.

Hi hitlar,

my sis wrote a bit of a howto here:

http://opensourceatwork.blogspot.com...e-package.html

Actually it is kinda weird.. she did it today cos we wanted to run a FC5 install workshop and wanted to show package management and we hit the same problem.... from reading the posts most of the problems were hit around early may though ...

Anyways the howto is for offline installation of packages from CD so .. it sounds like what you want to do =)

Note: You probably need to set the "enable=0" in all the .repo files that point to online repositories, leaving even one enabled will cause pirut to fail

Regards,
Edmund
