Add packages does not recognise disc 2

Hello,
New to linux; just installed Fedora Core 3; everything running swimmingly.

Trying to add new package from Fedora Core disc 2, receive error, "Unable to access disk. The disk was unable to be accessed for reading. Please confirm that it is in the drive and try again."

I can access the disc in file browser and install the rpm's from there, but that's annoying. I checked the md5Sum before I burnt it in Nero under WinME. So the disk is fine, but how do I get Package Management to recognise it?

Many thanks,
Alex

If you have a high speed internet connection, you can install packages using yum, e.g. as root you would do "yum install packagename".

Thanks, but as stated I can already install them from the CD.
What I want is to understand, and if possible fix, the situation of Package Manager's inability to access the CD.

The package manager in Fedora is quite buggy, thats why I had suggested an alternative. You can also use apt which is tool similar to yum with your installation CD's. You can do a search on google search maybe you will find a solution to your problem (the Package Managers name is "system-config-packages", so you may want to use that when searching on google).
