Add lock screen to Fedora 16
 
Hello ,I use a machine with Fedora 16 which had the lock screen functionality removed. This is not a personal machine , so any form of reinstallation / update is not an option.

Can anybody help me add a lock screen to my machine?

fedora 16 and fedora 17 are dead and unsupported
Fedora is currently only supporting Fedora 18 and 19

it IS VERY advisable to install fedora 19
fedora 16 is MISSING the last 8 months of SECURITY updates .

if software was uninstalled you will NEED to have root access to this old f16 install

now it might just be turned off
if so turn it back on for your normal user

it should be in the screensaver settings or power settings
What Desktop is this ?
gnome3 was new and really f'ed up in 16 ( almost unusable )
kde4 or xfce and lxde are WAY better than the very early gnome3

how was it disabled? are you talking about the GUI lock ctrl+L or something else?
