Access Firefox in Fedora 10

When I click on the firefox icon I get the message 'Could not launch application-Failed to execute child process '/selinux/disable/'(Permission denied)'. It sounds like I need to disable selinux but how do I do so? Thanks

"System" > "Aministration" > "SELinux Management"

But that shouldn't be necessary, I would think firefox should launch in any setting of SELinux.

Anyway, my setting is
permissive
permissive
targeted

And I have no trouble with firefox.

If so then there will be no se problems .
or did you "install"some other version in your HOME folder , if so THAT is the problem.

Also what is the FULL error?
Start firefox from the terminal and post the full error

Hello, In a terminal I commanded 'firefox' and got the message 'Could not find compatible GRE between 1.9.0.4 and 1.9.0.4'. I don't what this means. How do I correct this error? Should I download appropriate application software? If so, what is the correct name of the application? Thanks, Larry

Hello, I commanded yum update firefox in root christine and then clicked on the firefox icon and firefox opened. When I logged in to larry and clicked on the firefox icon, firefox did not open and I got the same previous error message. I commanded yum reinstall firefox in root larry but firefox did not open when I clicked on the firefox icon. I haven't restarted Fedora 10 and that might take care of the problem. In a terminal I can firefox and firefox will open. So, how can I get firefox to open when I click on the firefox icon? Thanks, larry
