a SLIGHT problem with graphics on FC5 using nividia GF6600GT

hello everyone,

I have the absolutely newest distro of FC5 installed with all the newest drivers (I think the graphic drivers are from livna.org)...Anyway I've istalled everything with yum and it works.

the only thing that doesn't work is more or less everything before the nividia logo shows up (followed by the log in screen).

when the "graphical loading screen" is supposed to show up (the progress bar and all the "okays") the screen just shows a bunch of colored rubish lines and ONLY the progressbar. As of yet I've gone around the problem by removing the "rhgb" keyword in the grub bootup. This results in just showing the prompt and all the text (and the "okays")... the resolution however is really crappy and it just doesn't look good.

All I've done is "yum install nvidia-blah-blah", and everything works PERFECTLY once the GUI has started.

Is there any easy solution to this?

Thankful for any help,

No one? no one cares of my terrible problem? It's not easy being a perfectionist, wanting everything to look tip top, if you don't know how to make it happen.

Hi,
This method works with FC4 and nVIDIA proprietary drivers, it might work on FC5 and Livna drivers, I don't know, it would have to be confirmed.

Code:
su -
cp -a /dev/nvidia* /etc/udev/devices
chown root.root /etc/udev/devices/nvidia*
